Uta Brandes, Cologne University of Technology

Prof. em., Dr., studies and doctorate in sociology and psychology; until 2015 Professor for Gender & Design Research at the Köln International School of Design (TH Köln); numerous guest lectureships at universities in Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, USA, Egypt; founding member and former chairwoman of the German Society for Design Theory and Research; founding member and chairwoman of the international Gender Design Network / iGDN; co-owner of the design consultancy be//DESIGN; lives in Cologne.

Michael Erlhoff, Cologne University of Technology

Prof. em., Dr., studied and received his doctorate in literary studies and sociology; was founding dean and professor for design theory and design history at the Köln International School of Design, TH Köln; was president of the Raymond Loewy Foundation; was co-founder of the St. Moritz Design Summit (2000-20007); is honorary professor at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig; author and lecturer at numerous universities (including Berlin, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Sydney, Tokyo, Fukuoka ,New York) and design consultant; co-owner of the design agency be//DESIGN; lives in Cologne.
