Her current focus is on historical and contemporary children’s and young adults’ literature, literary learning and first reading literature. She is among other things editor of Siegener Werkstattgespräche mit Kinderbuchautorinnen und -autoren, numerous publications in the field of children’s and young adults’ literature, member of the extended executive committee of the German Academy for Deutsche Akademie für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur and co-initiator of the Siegen award for first reading literature (SPELL) of the University of Siegen.
