Abstract

In this article the identity crisis of two anthropomorphic figures is investigated as an existential threat scenario by analyzing the two picture books Das Kleine Ich bin ich of Mira Lobe and Susi Weigel (1972) and Pezzettino of Leo Lionni (1975). The centra epistemic question focusses the aesthetic design of the two main characters Das Kleine Ich bin ich and Pezzettino regarding identity relevant considerations.
