Abstract

In one of her series of works, Petra Groos creates dolls in uncanny constellations – beings that frighten and fascinate. Anna Friesen deals with dolls and doll discourses both artistically and scientifically. In their conversation, they discuss the artistic work of Petra Groos and trace the themes contained in this puppet cosmos.

Born in 1989. PhD student at the University of Siegen, Department of Art ('Potentials of contemporary artistic engagement with gender issues').

Petra Groos

Born 1977, visual artist of photography, object art and painting in Cologne.
